Farmers' Markets & Food Stamps

You can now use your food stamp benefits to purchase fresh, local products at three of Vermont's farmers' markets:

  • Winooski
    Thursdays, 3:30pm to 6:30pm
    In front of the Champlain Mill

  • Brattleboro
    Wednesdays, 10:00am to 2:00pm
    Co-op Plaza/Whetstone Pathway, just over Kyle Gilbert Memorial Bridge

    Saturdays, 9:00am to 2:00pm
    0.5 Miles west of I-91 on Rt. 9 in West Brattleboro

  • Bellows Falls
    Fridays, 4:00pm to 7:00pm
    Depot Street

  • Newport
    Causeway
    Wednesday and Saturday, 9-2

  • Capital City Montpelier
    60 State Street
    Saturday, 9-1

  • Old North End – Burlington
    H.O. Wheeler
    Tuesday 3-6:30pm

How Does it Work?

Visit the EBT/Debit Card stand at one of the above farmers' markets...

  1. Swipe your EBT card
  2. Receive the wooden tokens
  3. Use wooden tokens to buy market products

You decide how much you want to spend
($1 tokens for EBT food, $5 for Debit/EBT cash)

Please note * $1 EBT coupons may only be used to by foods eligible under Food Stamp Program rules
